“15-15: #AskNaoise” – Your chance to tweet Dublin’s Lord Mayor on any topic related to the city.

Your chance to tweet Dublin’s Lord Mayor on any topic related to the city – “15-15: #AskNaoise”,  Thursday 25 April @ 12noon

Communicating with Dublin’s Lord Mayor is about to get a digital boost via Social Media.

Dublin’s Lord Mayor Naoise Ó Muirí, launches “15-15: #AskNaoise”, a new Twitter based initiative that enables citizens to pose a question of 140 characters or less regarding Dublin City to the Lord Mayor.

Use the hashtag #AskNaoise on Twitter between 12 noon and 12.15pm on Thursday 25th April and the Lord Mayor will be online responding between 12 noon and 1pm.

This is the first in a planned series and 15-15-15 will be repeated on 15th May and 15th June.

Perhaps you would like to know what the most exciting event Naoise has taken part in during his year in office? Maybe you’d like to tell him what you think about Dublin’s free public WiFi which was launched this year? Would you like to tell him your views on a directly elected Mayor?

It’s all part of the Lord Mayor’s policy of promoting open digital communications in Dublin city as part of the “Digital Dublin” initiative.

Communications are changing. Public bodies need to be able to communicate effectively with a digital public. 15-15 will give citizens a chance to ask me questions related to my position as Lord Mayor. The real beauty is that Twitter restricts comments to 140 characters so my responses will have to be concise!” says the Lord Mayor.

Thanks to all for a great response to today’s tweet in.

Plenty of interest and we’ll do it all again next month on 15 May @ 12 noon.
